Our Staycation

This past weekend the girls and I ventured to North Padre Island for an overnight trip at a hotel.  This was the view of the Gulf of Mexico from our balcony!
Both girls loved the balcony and spent a good deal of time there listening to the waves and watching the moth migration!
This is us on the beach late at night enjoying some silliness and our glow sticks!
Too Cute!  Loganne enjoyed the beach and was able to get over the fact that her feet were dirty!
They were so good during the day and played really well with one another.  Kaleigh kept referring to Loganne as "her best friend".
The hotel had a playground near the beach and it was perfect for some outside time without the sand!

Kaleigh enjoyed the arts and crafts we had brought including this paperoni that she made at 5:30 am!
Kaleigh collecting seashells!
It was a really fun staycation but I think we will all be happy to have our own beds back! HAHA!

Last Aquarium Visit

I absolutely love that they hold hands now!
Too cute!
All the times we had been to the aquarium this was the 1st and only time we saw the sea turtles fed!
Playing together!
And of course we conclude every aquarium trip by throwing pennies into the fountain.
The Texas State Aquarium has been such a great place for our family and visitors!

Fancy Nancy

Soooo posh!

This is when Loganne spotted "Sister"!
I posted the pictures from Kaleigh's Storybook Character Parade because I know these are the pics everyone has been waiting for!  She looked too cute and was adorable waving at everyone along the parade route!  She was so excited to go to school dressed up!  Loganne also enjoyed the parade and was very good!

Red Ribbon Parade

To conclude Stay Drug-free week the kids from all the schools get to participate in a parade!  Kaleigh has been so excited about it and she thought it was so cool even though we basically walked around the block!  It was fun because she was able to walk with the infamous Cayden and her beloved teacher, Mrs. Collingsworth!

Pumpkin Picking

So we discovered that pumpkin picking and fall-related activities are not quite the same in Texas as they would be in NY or any other colder state but nonetheless we had fun!  We went with the Erdners to a local church and picked out some pumpkins and took some pictures.  We enjoyed dinner and then ice cream on the beach!  It was a gorgeous fall day and then the girls came home and decorated their pumpkins with face stickers.  Fun stuff!
